Giglio Island Beaches: there are four main beaches on the island of Giglio as well as a number of bays that can be reached by private boat or rental boat. Of the four beaches that can be reached on foot, the most spectacular are the two just south of Giglio Porto: Cala delle Caldane and Cala delle Cannelle.
You can reach Cala delle Cannelle by car although a scooter is better as the road can be difficult in places. The gorgeous Cala delle Caldane can only be reached on foot but it's a lovely walk past some of the island's most spectacular scenery including Punta di Capo Marino and first, the bay of Cala dello Smeraldo. |
